Yoga Props for your perfect practice

Author diane

I am a self-professed control freak who found yoga, meditation, and NLP to manage self-induced stress. I obsess over anatomy books, full moons, and the mysteries of being human. I have been practicing various styles of yoga and meditation for over twenty years. I am a master NLP Practitioner, I am registered with the Yoga Alliance as an RYT-500 yoga teacher. I am also a certified meditation instructor and Ayurvedic practitioner.

Yoga props are not just for beginners

Find out how props can help you create your best practice.  Yoga props are anything you bring to your mat to help make your practice safer and easier on your body, especially your joints.

Props can help keep you feeling balanced and act as an extension of your arms and hands.  Props can protect your spine, seat, or knees.

Props are used by even seasoned yogis who wish to make their practice safe and comfortable.

I use blocks, blankets, bolsters, and a chair in this video. If you are using a chair, place it on your yoga mat or a rug that does not slide.

The goal of yoga is to avoid injury. If any part of a practice creates pain or discomfort, reposition yourself or completely stop the practice.

The video is about three minutes long. If you would like to read more about how to use props in your practice, check out my post, Yoga props- not just for the beginner.
